Hi Everyone it’s been a while-I have really enjoyed reading the updates from everyone!
I have managed to keep busy for the past 40 years! After graduating UD and a short stint in NYC I had an inspiring conversation with a guest at Keith Zusi’s wedding, pivoted careers and got my Masters in Education at Rutgers. After working as a 1st and 5th grade elementary teacher, I took a brief 13 year maternity leave and did math consulting. I returned to teaching in 2012 and I have just started my 31st year in education. Will close out my teaching career as a math interventionist for K-3 littles. Retirement is on the horizon!
I met my husband (of 27 yrs) Bill when we were teaching together in Flemington and have not ventured too far. Our criteria for a town was one with sidewalks and a downtown and family friendly neighborhoods. We found it in Somerville, NJ a short drive from Summit. I am back often as my parents still live in my home on Stockton Rd – across from Al Hoesly.
My greatest accomplishment however, has been being mom to my 3 amazing kiddos (All fellow Scarlet Knights). Zack (26) just started as an associate at a law firm in NYC and we are anxiously awaiting his BAR results. Nate (23) is a Trumpet Performance major at Mason Gross School of the Arts. He has provided us with many memorable moments both with his ensemble performances and as a member of the Marching Scarlet Knights. My hobby and labor of love for the past 4 years has been hosting the tailgate for the Marching Band Parents (I am no longer the designated driver – IYKYK). Jane (the princess) is a Sophomore Communications major living her best life as an Alpha Chi Omega. All three, along with my 2 fur babies continue to keep me on my toes.
Can’t wait to see everyone 🙂
