Lori (Gilroy) Eckert

After graduating from high school, I attended Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, NC, where I met my college sweetheart. We’ve now been happily married for 34 years and make our home in Charlotte, NC.

Following college, I went on to nursing school and have been with Atrium Health for the past 30 years. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in several areas including Pediatrics, NICU, Emergency medicine and Urgent Care. For the past 20 years, I’ve found my true professional passion in Radiation Oncology at Levine Cancer Institute with Advocate health where I continue to find meaning and purpose in caring for patients every day. I love what I do!

My husband and I are blessed with three wonderful children—Gregory, Will, and Claire—and we are especially grateful that they all live here in Charlotte.

In my free time, I am play a lot of pickleball and learning a little golf. Since we are now empty nester we have a lot of time to travel and spend time at the beach in Oak Island NC when we are not working! Life at home is made even better with our two awesome rescue dogs, Belle and Thor.
