OK I’ve been officially shamed into completing my update – thank you Beth!
Left Summit in 1985 and headed to Chapel Hill where I met and married my college sweetheart, Kathy. We celebrated 34 years of marriage in August and have been living in Cary, NC since 1994. We’ve had the good fortune of raising 4 awesome kids. Our oldest Marina is in her final year at Georgetown Law and headed to her new job in NYC next summer. Natalie just graduated from UNC and spent a year globetrotting while working a remote job in social media (very jealous!) Bryson is a sophomore at UNC Wilmington and living his best life at the beach. We are thankfully not empty nesters yet with Hutson finishing his senior year of high school and sending college applications as I write. Just took this photo last week at his football senior night. And I know you’ll be shocked, but we head right to wrestling season from here! Kathy’s fear of an empty nest led to the addition of sibling golden retriever puppies last year, so nothing quiet around here. I’m 30+ years working in wealth as a managing director, the last 25 with Truist. Life has not been without some heartbreak and losses, but overall it’s been good to us. We’re both dreading the inevitable empty nest, but also looking forward to this next chapter. Hoping for lots of travel, great hikes and good coffee. Can’t wait to see all of you in just a couple of weeks! Hoping to catch a drink on Friday night with some of the gang – Leon or Brian buying!
