Such a journey I have had since graduating SHS in 1985! Paul and I raised our 2 boys in Summit and enjoyed all that the town has to offer – we spent many fun hours watching them play sports and perform in band/orchestra concerts! We sent them off to college, had time to catch our breath and then began to think about what was next for us.
In 2022, we had an amazing opportunity to move to the Seacoast of New Hampshire and we took it! Once we made this decision, things happened fast. The house was on the market, sold and we were packed up and ready for our new adventure. It is probably a good thing that things moved quickly or I may have had second thoughts about leaving the town I called home for so many years. But here I am in NH and I am loving my second act in historic Portsmouth. We hike, bike, paddle board and visit the beaches. The food is amazing and the people are friendly. We have had many visitors and love to entertain and show off the area.
I have worked as a clinical social worker my whole career, mostly in medical social work. I did have a meaningful 3 year experience as a psychotherapist when we moved to NH, but now I am back to social work case management working at Beth Israel Lahey Health.
Our two boys have graduated college. Malcolm has settled in Boulder, CO and Nils is in Pittsburgh, PA. It is hard for me that they are a plane flight away from us, but they are happy and figuring out life and creating their own adventures!
This family photo is from our most recent family get together where we attended Picklesburg 2025 Festival in Pittsburgh, PA!
I look forward to reunion and being back in Summit and catching up with you all!
