Can’t believe it’s been 40 years since Summit High—time has certainly flown by.
I’ve lived in Summit for most of my life, except for a few years in Westfield (Summit will always be my favorite). I’ve been married to Paul Queripel, a New Providence boy, for 32 years. He’s a compliance officer at the Bank of New York Mellon. Our son Christopher, 25, graduated from SHS in 2018 and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School in 2022. He now works for SiriusXM in Washington, D.C., on their golf channel.
After starting my career in marketing research, I went back to school to earn my teaching certification and taught second grade for six years. I later took time off to raise our son and care for very sick parents. During that time, I discovered knitting—a passion that turned into a career. For the past 11 years, I’ve worked at Wool & Grace in Summit, where I teach knitting and manage the store’s social media—a perfect blend of business and teaching.
Seventeen years ago, we moved back into the house I grew up in—cherishing old memories and making new ones along the way. Love visiting with dear Summit friends like Jeanne Braunwarth Crawford and running into so many Class of ’85 grads around town. Can’t wait to see everyone on November 1st.
