It’s been so much fun reading everyone’s updates. Big thanks to Beth and everyone involved in keeping us all connected!
Growing up I always thought I’d be a lawyer, and my passion for music would just be a hobby. My less than stellar GPA at Bucknell made me reevaluate things however. After barely graduating and then a quick stint at music school in 89, I stayed in Boston until 1996 working a number of day jobs and practicing piano and keyboards obsessively. I then moved to NYC and worked with a number of groups and artists for years playing various styles of music from hip hop to jazz to rock etc..Then one day in Jan of 2010 my life changed forever: I went to an open call audition for new pop star Lady Gaga and two weeks later I was in England on her Monster Ball world tour playing sold out arenas every night.
15 years later after 6 more world tours, hundreds of shows, and traveling to over 50 countries, I’m still in her band and currently in Europe on her Mayhem Ball Tour. We just performed in Barcelona last night. To say it’s been a wild ride is an understatement. There are tremendous highs and lows in this business as there are in life, but I am grateful to be playing music for a living. I live in LA now and finally got married to an amazing woman Virginia two years ago and she is able to travel with me often. I’ve never been happier. I have a core group of ten or so friends from SHS that have stayed in touch through various trips and texting, and am so thankful for this. I’ve also reconnected with a number of Hilltoppers through my various travels. I have a deep connection to Summit and visit often, my brother Ames still lives there. Won’t make it back from Europe for the reunion unfortunately, but I look forward to hearing about it from everyone.
