Christine Eustis

Christine Eustis (I haven’t been Chrissy since high school)
Hi fellow Class of 85ers. It’s hard to know what to say after 40 years. My highlights are that I am retiring in December after a 31-year career in public service working in environmental policy and management for three Federal agencies, with most of my time at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. My career took me to Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, and Hadley, MA. I moved to Reston, VA (a suburb of DC) in 2021 for my final Federal job with the U.S. Geological Survey.  I never married but in 2011 adopted my daughter from China (the best thing I’ve ever done!). She is now 15 and a sophomore in high school.  We love the DC area and also visit the Philadelphia area quite often where my parents, brother and sisters still live.  I keep in touch with a few friends from SHS and was lucky enough to live 10 minutes from Katie ClarkeWright for 8 years. My family moved from Summit to the Philadelphia area after I graduated from college, so I have not had many opportunities to visit Summit. About 7 years ago, I drove through Summit to show my daughter our house on DeBary Place. I won’t be able to join you at the reunion but am so glad to read the updates since I am not on social media.  The photo is me, my daughter and my brother Alex (Class of ’80).
