How time flies!
I graduated from University of Delaware in 1989 with an oh-so-marketable English degree /s (with a minor in philosophy!) and bounced around a bit trying to figure out what type of work I wanted to do. I went back to school, got a paralegal certificate, and got married. After visiting my (ex) husband’s family in South Carolina we decided to move to Beaufort, SC.
I became interested in computers around this time; it was the rise of the Internet, the PC and office networks. Those were such exciting times!! I Ioved it so much I went to school at night while employed full-time. My daughter Rachel was born 2 years before I went back to school; my son was born during my final semester. I was young, captivated, determined and ambitious. SO MUCH ENERGY!! Not as much anymore ha ha.
My career eventually brought me to Franklin, TN. My marriage didn’t work out and, newly divorced, decided to join BFF Kyle O’Shea (SHS ’85 – we still talk/see each other regularly) at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Glad I did because she introduced me to Cameron that weekend – we married 8 months later and have been going strong since.
The Nashville area is a great place to live if you love live music! We go to shows as often as we can. I’ve remained close to my six siblings and enjoy traveling with them – our next adventure is to Argentina and Chile in 2026. We also try to together in the Philly area at Thanksgiving and at LBI in the summer.
Rachel recently left the South and moved to Minneapolis where she is working as a paralegal (full circle!). Ryan works as kitchen manager in a local pizza shop and has a wife and 2 children, Milo and Oliver. I’m a Gamma!! Cameron and I are buying a house a bit closer to them next month and so won’t be able to come to the reunion.
I’ve so enjoyed reading everyone’s updates. Have fun and take/post lots of photos from the event!
