I have loved reading these glimpses into everyone’s last 40 years and looking forward to seeing everyone in less than a week.
After college, I began working for an advertising and marketing agency specializing in automotive-related brands. My clients were luxury automotive manufacturers, which meant I spent my twenties and thirties traveling to Europe for meetings and also to art direct photoshoots for car brochures — something that has become pretty much obsolete now. In my late thirties, I was commuting to Orange County, California, for one week each month, and I absolutely loved it! I’m more of a homebody now and able to do the same work from home, which allows me to be around for family and two high-maintenance French Bulldog rescues.
When Kris and I married, later in life than most, I also gained a wonderful stepson, Kyle, who is now a senior at Seton Hall Prep. He’s busy prepping for college now and we cant wait to see what his future holds.
It’s great to still be in Summit, surrounded by my family. I have five nieces and nephews (5th-generation Hilltoppers) whom I’ve loved cheering on as they’ve gone through the Summit school system. I often catch their football, lacrosse, and now girls’ volleyball games, and I have to say, the high school gym still smells the same as when we were there! I love to remind them that I was a cheerleader back in the day — definitely cringey for them. But it always gets a laugh, especially from my 3 brothers!
